Tracy’s Restaurant

IMG_2286-1

Once again, I am back in Crestline Village, literally directly across the street from my last blog location! (Crestline Bagel if you haven’t gotten a chance to read!) Tracy’s Restaurant, established by Jimmy Tracy, is a historic spot for Birmingham’s inhabitants. What began as a grab-and-go hot-dog stand downtown, has now become a down-the-street Meat + 2 cafe with the best homestyle cooking Mountain Brook has ever tasted.

Some of the most popular dishes on the menu include country-fried steak and the daily homemade pies and desserts! My personal favorite? The turkey burger with avocado and swiss cheese! Don’t forget to order the homemade potato chips! They are literally out of this world.

Tracy’s prides itself on being more than just a restaurant, but a restaurant that helps utilize and promote other local businesses like Piper & Leaf Tea, Avondale Brewing, Red Bike Coffee, Benton Farms Bacon and many more. Tracy’s works with the community of Birmingham to BE a part of the Birmingham community. For instance, you can find some of the most delicious pre-made dishes at local Birmingham grocery stores, like The Piggly Wiggly! It’s more than just a delicious homestyle cafe, it’s about the southern hospitality that follows!

Go enjoy a half off glass of wine on Wednesdays (aka tomorrow) and say hello to Jimmy! Tell him Shelby sent you!
