Another Mexican Restaurant Review… Embarrassing

Evidently I am a huge fan of Mexican cuisine. I promise the next restaurant will be completely different!!

Mexico Lindo, located on Hollywood Boulevard, is a quaint Tex Mex restaurant that I discovered about six months ago. The atmosphere captures you at first step. Dramatic? Maybe. But honestly, it’s so eclectic and different. You walk in and feel like you’re in Mexico! Kudos to whoever designed the interior. There are amazing lanterns, murals and hanging stars that create a cultural escape, complete with delicious Americanized Mexican food. YUM!!

Wednesdays are $3 margarita days! Woot Woot! I picked the right day to go. I prefer my margaritas frozen and with an obscene amount of salt. Their margaritas were really quite delicious… frozen and with an obscene amount of salt 🙂 and for $3, what doesn’t taste good?!

I had been craving, I mean REALLY craving, taco soup. And y’all this taco soup was unbelievably satisfying. Well, technically they had two options on the menu and I combined the two into exactly what I wanted… sorry to be that girl.

Caldo Tlalpenio – chicken broth / shredded chicken / hot chipotle / cheese / tortilla strips / cilantro / avocado

Sopa de Tortilla – chicken broth / shredded chicken / totrilla strips / cheese / vegetables

My Version – chicken broth / shredding chicken / cheese / tortilla strips / vegetables / avocado / cilantro

This soup not only hit the spot, but punched it in the face. I would totally recommend it! Y’all try it out and let me know what you think!
